We are currently seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee / manage operate, inspect, and maintain all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain the most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Lead and advise maintenance personnel in installation, repair, and maintenance of all base building and critical systems equipment. Assure that equipment is maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner. Work to reduce client equipment down time to a minimum by implementing and performing structured preventive, predictive equipment maintenance. Perform inspections and repairs to assigned properties interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Operational scope is that of multiple sites within the region.

CHIEF ENGINEER - Minnetonka, MN

Responsibilities:

• Drive engineering excellence throughout the north and south Minneapolis region.
• Lead / advise maintenance staff and monitor performance of their assigned responsibilities.
• Perform and / or direct the performance of all maintenance departmental service requests and work orders through CMMS system insuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience.
• Work with Facilities Managers and senior engineering staff to identify operational recommendations for capital and expense budgets.
• Provide training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations staff to self-perform work.
• Manage CMMS information for client sites.
• Direct the performance of contracted maintenance work as needed.
• Participate in facilities projects, renovations and other planning activities as a consultant.
• Monitor construction and repair projects and provide feedback to site Facilities Manager.
• Provide operational recommendations to Facility Managers for process improvement efficiencies.
• Lead maintenance and operation for multiple sites with in the region.
• Must be willing to perform hands on work as required at multiple sites.
• Drive the successful completion of the JLL Quality Assurance Audit at assigned sites.
• Participate in national engineering calls with senior engineering staff and support as needed.
